Common questions

My widget is not updating. On some phones the system holds background updates. In Us, open Settings, then Staying in sync, and set Battery to Unrestricted and allow Autostart if your phone has it. Open the app once after changing it.

My invite code does not work. Codes work for 24 hours and once. Ask your person for a new one from the Invite screen.

How do I add a widget? Open the Us tab, tap Our widgets, then Add. On iPhone, long-press the home screen, tap the plus button and search for Us.

Can they see where I am? No. If you turn on Share my city, they see only your city name and a distance rounded to 5 km. You can turn it off at any time.

How do I leave? Settings has Unpair and Delete my account. See us.winkle.dev/delete-account.

If you do not feel safe

Either person can unpair or delete their account at any time, and nothing in Us shows exact location. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number or a domestic-violence helpline.
